Anyone have any others to post?

We don't need to feel limited by the few I posted.  No need to feel compelled to rate them, just enjoy (or not).

Shingle houses are so pretty. This is it, I've finally found my dream home!

There’s no greater modern-day fairytale village than Carmel-by-the-Sea in California. This community features a number of charming homes built in the 1920s by Hugh Comstock. It all began when the architect’s wife asked him to build her a doll house as a show room for the rag dolls she sold, and the result was ‘Hansel’, above.

@GingerPeach I could see myself in the first one. I guess its the big wrap around porch.

@qualitygal, I'm all about tree-lined paths, especially in the fall, but all year round, too.

This is my dream... A tree lined driveway leading to a beautiful field stone house sitting on a lake

@GingerPeach Now we're talking. Put the house with the wrap around porch on the property and I'd be set.

Is there anywhere one can find the floor plans?  These are so cute!

Such beautiful places! The grey and white one is to die for.

Does anyone else think, that when they hear the word 'cottage', that is should be small?

I don't know where I got that idea, but many of these posted are like full size homes to me, and I always think of a small place when I hear the word cottage. I can be weird!

Our home in Pittsburgh was a cottage style home and I just loved it. The new house we are currently planning to move into is as well.It is Florida style architecture but has a sweet little cottage feel.

@Mominohio, Cottage to me, means on a lake! Size has nothing to do with it.  It might be one level vs. two though.

@Mominohio Then I guess I'm weird too, because cottage to me connotes a somewhat smaller, cozy home. The location isn't a factor, though 'ideally' it would situated in a more rural setting.

Re: Dream cottages

[ Edited ]

A cottage has always been my dream home... Not too small, but certainly nothing along the lines of what those during the Gilded Age used to refer to as 'cottages'...
