I close my blinds at night. I usually have them closed in the day time in the summer time when it's hot to keep the sun light out.

All blinds and drapes are closed at night! I don't want to worry about someone looking in my house at night like that. We don't live in the city, but we do live in a subdivision. Daytime all are open. I love the sunlight!
Our next door neighbors leave all their blinds and drapes open all day and all night, even when they went on vacation last year-everything was wide open........I guess they thought that by closing up everything was a sign that you were gone......

@OhioAngel Oh! I agree w/you! I don't want to look at the windows, doors and sliding doors at night and see a big black hole there
. Could never live w/out window coverings.

I don't like it if people are able to see inside of my house. I keept my shutters in the front of the house always upward. The back of my house is private. I do have very large windows in the family room with drapes and I have them shut most of the time. No window treatments on the 4 large kitchen windows, getting shades for those. When I drive through my neighborhood in the evening, I do see some houses that you can look right into the front window all the way to the back of the house, seeing everything...I don't like that.

No drapes, plantation shutters on all windows. Our house is configured that our main living areas are on the back, so no, we don't close up things at night. The houses behind us don't face down into our yard so that's nice.

Roman shades. Some open, some closed.

I close all blinds once it gets dark. I have up down cellular blinds. They are all open during the day letting in all the light.
Our main living spaces are also on back side of house.
I don't care where I lived they would be closed when dark since you can see inside when it's dark & your lights are on.
You never know when you have some creep with a telescope checking you out?
I know some people with nothing on their windows??? Not at my house.

It's funny but I used to all close them all the time. However the last several years I just don't bother in the living room & dining rooms....the blinds and curtain panels stay open. Other windows like the kitchen, family room & bedrooms are closed up at night.
I live on a very quiet cul de sac and all the neighbors are friendly & know each other.

All modern blinds in the house -- no curtains. Just don't want any. I also live on a short, quiet cul-de-cac with home backing up to a commons area - no street in sight. I leave the kitchen blind over the stove open. We have a walk-out basement and the back of the house slopes. Kitchen looks like it's on the 2nd floor. Night light in the kitchen. My morning walk into the kitchen gives me a sunrise view. All other blinds closed.
