We built a house four years ago and put in central air attached to our furnace. Both have performed flawlessly. But whenever the air is on, I think I can smell something burning. The compressor is that square thing outside, I guess. I just went out and it smells fine out there, but are there bearings in the fan or something that should be checked on? I asked DH, but he couldn't care less if this place is air conditioned, he likes heat. The guy that put it in is now retired and his company is gone. Yes, I could call someone else, but I don't want to open myself up to a needless charge if nothing needs to be done.
