Does Anyone Leave their Dogs at Home while at Work all Day?

And if so, how long? I try not to leave my 3 adult dogs alone for more than 7-8 hours but this week is a crazy week and no one home all day at all. They rarely have any accidents but still, I hate doing it. How long can you leave your dogs at home before you get back from work let them out?
