I probably should have one also, but don't want to because of personal items, etc. and finding someone I could trust. I had a couple cleaning ladies years ago when I was recuperating from some surgeries. One stole my baby's clothing. Later got another and she did very well until she got sick and could no longer work so I just returned to doing it myself. I need to simplify things so I can continue to do the cleaning since I'm not getting any younger.

I agree Daysdee, it's hard to find someone who's honest. I signed up for Angie's List (famous on line recommendation, google them) about 1 year ago for a different reason.

Even there I was reading where some people were upset because (out of the blue, supposedly) someone who worked for a AAAAA rated company stole money and/or items. The person who owned the company offered to pay for reimbursement, but the damage was done.

It's as if there just aren't many honest people any more. Everyone is out to get what they can out of someone.

My house is very large. I live here because we raised 3 daughters and my husband died. It has long been paid for. It has lots of doors. I would be afraid that even if I was here the housekeeper would be going out the garage or one of the other doors carting away things. It would take me a while to even realize it.

I'd need to almost hire someone to sit and watch the housekeeper! It's just not worth it. It's very frustrating.

Had a housekeeper when we were young. Now that I'm on my own, I don't. I love my privacy too much.

I have a cleaning lady who comes once a month. She does everything I don't like to do. She cleans the ceiling fans, the windows, behind the couch, dusting, etc.

I keep up with the everyday laundry, dishes, cleaning the mirrors, making beds. I have two kids so there is plenty of cleaning left for me to do. Smile
