Do people think ghat this looks good? I can't imagine!

Haven't seen them in my neighborhood.  People around here like to garden or they hire a landscaping company to do it for them.  I don't use fake plants, but to each their own.

My mother used to put plastic flowers in a small area in front of our summer home in the mountains.  This was way back in the fifties and very little grew in the rocky soil.  However, I never liked that look.

Now I decorate with faux flowers seasonally inside my home and take pride in how it looks and perks up the room.  I also have the special value spheres hanging out side on a couple of small trees and love the look.  I live in a four season area and the spheres and hanging plant have been out for over a year and still look new!

It's all about taste and what you like.   I also feel that faux flowers are made much better now than back when my mom planted but she enjoyed them so that was nice!

When we lived in Henderson, NV, outside of Vegas, I used many "faux" plants outside.  I don't see a problem with it.  And they were very practical.

@PhillyGirl23   I have two urns on my porch that I love but nothing would grow in them. My porch is covered so not much sun.  Finally, I broke down and put fake vining flowering bushes in them. People have complimented me on them and when I tell them they are not real they go feel them and are shocked!

The rest of my flowers outside are real. While I would have preferred real, these are doing the job!

I do not mind faux....just not plastic. There are other materials that come across as more realistic. Just my opinion, but I do not care for the spheres.

This is a tricky one for me, and a year ago I would have agreed with the OP. However, age and strength prevent me from dealing with my usual hanging baskets. I actually read about these faux hanging baskets on this board  M74219 and took a chance. They are in the house for now, but they are pretty and I will hang them with pride come May. Do you think passing cars will honk and point ? They are lightweight and of course need no watering.

@PhillyGirl23  I figure, if I have a front door wreath that has faux flowers or greenery, I can have quality hanging baskets too. I don't have plastic flowers, but I do have two BL lit hanging baskets of faux flowers under the eves of our front facing garage. I love the look of the lights at night, and the flowers have looked real for several years. They are starting to fade now, so I'm going to have to replace them. The location isn't great for real flowers. BTW, we decided to go with a faux Christmas tree 6 years ago, and I thought I'd NEVER do that. Many looks can be tastefully accomplished with faux flowers and evergreens.

I've seen many faux flowers that look very real.  The TSV is not one of them.   Plants don't grow that "perfect."

I have some on my porch because it is too hot to grow real ones out there in the Summer.  They look real and I enjoy them.

I have used fake flowers outside of my home for years. They look beautiful, and everyone compliments me. You can't tell the difference. I do not have a green thumb, so artificial is the only way for me.

I hsve faux flowers in my flower boxes out front.  I like them, and I've never given any thought to whether or not others like them.  My gardening days are pretty much over and these fit the bill.  I get new ones every year.
