my dad is a repurposer - one year he turned an old fridge into a smoker and smoked a Thanksgiing turkey Smiley Happy

He can make a cane out of a tree branch, very creative Smiley Happy

A few years ago we had a floor model TV (remember those?) that had been stored in our basement for several years. We decided to remove the TV components and repurpose it as a storage area for my quilt collection. Our large flat screen TV sets on top. It's a real conversation piece.

My best friend lives in Florida with her boyfriend. He takes driftwood from the beach and makes pieces of art with it. He's even had some of his stuff in art shows. Cool

Looking to make bunk-beds for your cats?

OMG, now that is too adorable!! I love it!! I am not a repurposer, but that is definitely ingenious!! As well as the other doggies beds - the converted TV and the converted barrel.

See, it's not all tacky!!

I guess that's part of what makes repurposing/upcycling challenging...making stuff that doesn't look tacky. {#emotions_dlg.laugh}

I'd love to make something with my grandparents' old television, but I'm pretty sure it's already been disposed of. The dog bed thing would be so cute to make for my parents' dog...she is only 10 pounds, so she could easily fit in there.

I once had a friend who turned a t.v. into a bookshelf...it was a "statement" piece, as he hated television and felt it was "dumbing down" Americans.
