We have two snugs in our home.....the den which no one goes into except my husband and myself and my sitting room which I invite friends into all the time....when there was not a virus. Yikes.

They are small rooms filled with books, comfy wingback chairs and lots and lots of pillows. Can I say....they are my favorite rooms in our home. Love.

Love the name snugs......will have to use this often. Smiley Happy

@gtx  I watch Escape to the Country on Amazon Prime (they only have season 22 from 2015 which has 25 episodes). After I watched all those I found it on YouTube on our Roku (they aren't in order though - you may get an episode from 2009 up to 2019). If you don't have a Roku you can just watch it on your computer on YouTube. It's a really good show that I enjoy - it's sooo much better than the house hunting shows on HGTV.

The sunroom is my snug room.  I am in there a lot when I'm not doing household chores.  It's my go to spot to relax, to read, to contemplate, etc.  It has lots of windows to watch nature, a myriad of beautiful plants, cozy furniture including pillows and throws on the sofa and recliner, and lots of family memorabilia.  Alfie also has a bed there where he can snooze right alongside me if we want to nap.

This is my first sunroom and is easily my favorite room of the house.  I love it.  Heart

@Kachina624  Love these! The only area I had heard of as a "Snug" is when I was in Ireland in the 70's. When I first arrived there, I entered a pub in a rural location and was told to please enter at the "Snug" entrance. It seems ladies were not welcome in the general population of the pub and needed to enter and stay in the "Snug." Not all pubs were like that.

@PA Mom-mom   I wonder if times have changed?  Do all the ladies sit around entertaining each other?  Strange way to run a bar.

I definitely prefer smaller rooms to the popular cavernous look.

@Kachina624  Oh, yes. Times have changed. However, the Snug was rather cozy. There was usually a fire going. That being said, back then you rarely saw ladies in the pub anyway.  It's not like that anymore.
