Designer small kitchen electrics

I'm thinking about getting a new toaster and went browsing online. I came across this one, A SMEG toaster from the Dolce and Gabbana "Sicily is My Love" collection for $950.00 (waaay above my budget). What do you think of it? There are more kitchen electrics in this collection. What do you think of designer artwork on kitchen tools?

It's nice but too rich for me.  I do have some Mackenzie Childs, including the famous courtly check kettle, but what I paid for that seems prety inexpensive compared to $950 for a toaster.

I anyone has some of these designer electrics, I would love to see their kitchens!

Smeg appliances are supposed to be very good quality but they're too expensive.  That toaster would be cute in the right setting.

It's pretty but I think the designer should keep it for himself and leave it at that.

Plus I wouldn't want it for my toaster, maybe a blank greeting card😬

I am not cheap but I am practical.  It's a great looking toaster but not at $950.00.  I could fly to Las Vegas and stay the weekend, gamble and take in a show or two for the price of that toaster.

Re: Designer small kitchen electrics

I love my SMEG toaster. I got it a year ago no issues. I love the bagel button that only toasts one side of the bagel. Just remember to face the bagel out not in for that setting. I admit it took a few toasting to figure out what I was doing wrong there. 🤣🤣 I got the light blue one. Not decorated like the picture there just plain. I talked to a neighbor who has the coffee maker and she said it's beautiful but so hard to fill up with water.

@Desert Lily

What's not to like?Heart

I have an Oster toaster in purple, that I purchased from Amazon.  It does not sit on my counter, I just pull it out when I need it.

If I had the D & G one, I would eat a LOT of toastable foods, LOL.

I like it but the price is way over my toaster limit.

I recently purchased a retro agua toaster and microwave...I love them.

Not my style. I prefer simple solid metal or solid color small kitchen appliances. The prints in my kitchen are on towels, placemats, tablecloths, and artwork on the walls. None of them are from any famous designer either.

I have a red SMEG toaster and I like it very much! I haven't had a toaster in 30 yrs, used my toaster ovens. However my Wolf toaster convection oven took 6 minutes and I got tired of waiting.

I saw that design and loved it, wish it was more affordable. If you can afford it, enjoy, but if not, please check out the solid colors it's still a nice piece
