Are there any home projects that you intended to do but are delaying due to this virus?
My husband and I were planning to build a small gazebo over our hot tub during the next couple of months. With everything that is going on and the inability to get many of the necessary products we are postponing it for now.
It's a disappointment but when I think of what is happening to so many other people it really is just a small inconvenience.
I expect that this summer is going to be very different from most summers. I know we aren't planning to do as much gardening and my containers will not have as many flowers as previous years.
We are staying out of the big box stores and garden centers. Our governor has continued the stay at home order until May 2nd. Even after it is lifted I won't feel comfortable immediately heading into the stores.
I tell my husband as long as we both get through this difficult time without getting sick the rest of it is just not that important.

DH’s niece works at a home improvement store and it’s been very busy. She is working overtime.

For projects we can complete we're going ahead since we're home but anything that needs someone in the home we are holding off.

Yes! We bought 2 new bathroom vanities and sinks to re do our two upstairs bathrooms.
And a new faucet for the kitchen. Then the virus hit and we just have them sitting here, one in the dining room and one in our spare bedroom!
We just decided to wait until this virus comes under control, and we will then choose tile, etc.

I have spent my time removing 3 layers of wallpaper from the master bathroom. That was the easy part! Once the paper was down, there was drywall repair to be made and kilz to be applied before I could start painting. I have some ongoing health issues along with back issues, so I'd work a day and have to rest a day. Thank goodness I finished yesterday! There are some smaller projects that I hope to finish soon, but the master bath redo was the biggie!

Finishing touches on basement will need to wait -- new flooring and expanding our storage space.
Updating our deck and space under the deck. We can stand under our deck and are going to close it up with walls and barn doors and make a potting shed under steps. Hubs wants to get going on that but not if we have to make several trips to hardware store. It will need to wait.
We are working on landscaping - without plants. Getting garden and flower beds ready.
Better days ahead. So thankful we've been able to stay healthy.

One indoor plumbing project was put on hold, but it's not a big deal.

Yes. I was in the middle of updating our wet bar with new countertops. Had already removed the bar sink, had the area measured for new granite, and was ready to schedule a visit to the stoneyard to view slabs. There is money on the table just sitting there, but I have to wait until things open up again.
In the meantime, I can proceed with painting the front porch ceiling but don't look forward to getting up on a ladder...

We have a list of spring maintenance jobs that won't be getting done, because we don't have the materials like mulch, paint, etc. Nothing is more important than our health, so we will just have un-mulched beds and "really need to be painted" garage door awhile longer. Like someone said, if we can get through this without either one of us getting sick, what a blessing incomplete home improvement projects will be!
