Hi everyone Woman Happy  I was able to drop off my "load" at 11am this morning....the line for donation was long!  I waited 30mins as they only had one older gentleman doing the unloading of cars.  I thanked him for doing this when it was my turn....he was so nice and thanked me for donating which gives him a job.  Such a nice man!

I was able to add a few more things to it....a few vases...and a bag of those tiny type single wick candles unused of course.  They were gifts from last yr that I didn't like the fragrance.  Why keep what you won't use?  Maybe someone else will enjoy them.

Then I went back upstairs and have been cleaning...for some reason this one bedroom attracts flies!  I couldn't catch it the other day but was determined to get it today....I found him "dead" or asleep on the window sill and vacuumed him up!

Cleaned the bathroom and continued to organize the walk in closet up there with what I am keeping until after the holidays....then I will go thur the spring summer clothes up there for donating.

Still have to pack up the odd ball things I have for my bad neck/back...stretchers and other devices supposed to help with that.  Have a bin of that stuff.

I am planning after this coming Saturday (window co coming out to replace all the glass in our windows) to start going thur my fall and Christmas stuff...see what I can get together to donate then I can decorate with much less clutter!!!! Yippee!

I feel really good about getting all that extra stuff I wasn't using hauled out of here...dopamine rush I guess LOLWoman LOL

Hi all~Love reading about everyone's progress and experiences while decluttering~everyone's doing great, small and big, steady steps!

I had my appt. with consignment yesterday...was able to find 3 more clothing pieces to consign, and a laptop case, and a few toys and odds and ends. Plus~they had a $111.00 check for me! Whohoo. lol...that's more than I usually get there (they take a bigger percentage, for their charity) and not a lot considering all the items this covered, but that said...I was happy! Will put it toward the new cell phone I need since I dropped my (thankfully 7y.o.) one in the toilet Sunday, while in my back pocket Trick or Treating! 😜

In my process I also threw out an old robe that had seen better days, (plus recently my sleeve went into hot wax I was burning in a fragrance burner. 😜)...also a few other little items, old socks with holes I discovered, an old scarf that went with a Susan Graver tunic. I still wear the tunic but never the infinity scarf that came with it...wasn't even nice enough for donation.

Been also keeping up with files, shredding.

And last week when I had that little morning "fit" of cleaning kitchen drawers again...I did find more things to toss. Funny, to me, how obvious it is that they are useless items to go now, but somehow escaped my wrath the first time! lol. That's why this is a constant "upkeep" thing to me.

Well, I guess that's all for me for now~keep up the good work, ladies! (and gents if there happen to be any here...)

Beautiful New England fall week here so far~ 🍁🍃🍂🎃 tho' "frost on the pumpkins" this week...I'm gonna miss my summer flowers soon, I'll bring a few geranium pots in that will last a while, or all winter🌺....Have a good day, all. 🌞

Boy, did I miss weighing in here!
This morning I have already discarded the food containers that I continue to collect. I had more than I like because I usually y just keep about 2 or 3 in different sizes. my stash grew and they had to go.

I brought 2 fleece jackets to work. I don't wear them out but I will wear them around at work.

I continue to keep my office tidy. I share it with 2 others. One of which is messy and a "collector" the other is a nut like me! 😂

Yesterday I took a box that's been hanging around with an old, huge heavy, surge protector and some other ancient relic. I hid it in a cabinet that we are waiting to be removed  from our office. I hope it goes un noticed since it's never been used in the 7 years I've been in that office. They should be coming to get that cabinet out soon...so they claim.

SO glad to be back with my fellow purgers!

Like many of you, I continued my efforts while the forums were down. Earlier this week I bought 2 new bras in my new size. I went through what I had at home and found 2 new with tags, never worn bras in my old size- same styles!. Went back to the store the next day, returned the old/ new bras and received store credit for them. Of course they rang up at the old price, which was a dollar and change lower for each than the new/new ones, but I was very happy about that and all were on sale and prices were lower in store than online..

This morning I will drop off a small-ish bag of clothes to the wonen's thrift store and will ask if they take very lightly worn, clean bras. If not, I know a Goodwill-type thrift that will and I will visit them at the end of the month.

Surely one of the last nice weather days today. Yesterday I purged all the plants & flowers from my deck. We have already had nighttime freezing temps here. Bagged and in the can awaiting trash collection today. Later I will pack up outdoor decor and cover the furniture in advance of tomorrow's rainout day.

I found a local boutique consignment shop nearby. Went in yesterday with a beautiful D, Basso wool/cashmere coat from his NYC store. The owner loved it and took it right in. Really too nice to donate. Hoping it sells as the weather is just starting to cool down here. My community is running a coat drive this month and I have several coats ready to go for that.

I am enjoying living with a smaller wardrobe. So much easier.

BTW, still have bought nothing from QVC since September- especially not buying when they kept us away from thie forums for so long. Clothes are way too $$$ as are the "gift"items and programs are boring.

Looking forward to reading all your updates!

Both the bag of misc. clothes and the bras were dropped off at thrift today.

Started a new bag of discard/ recycle clothes that are too worn to donate.

Hi ladies!  Just checking in....this thread is my accountability place LOL to donate more stuff and get myself organized.

I wanted to get started on Christmas decor....that didn't happen...but I will begin and my goal is that no later then next Wed I will have sorted through and packed up the things I just will never use.  I need to set time lines for myself or I will procrastinate and Christmas will be here and I will say OH WELL maybe next yr LOL!

Glad to post here again.

I'm happy to be able to check in here with everyone again too! I missed it!

I have actually started another donate bag, mostly with items my youngest son has outgrown including 2 pair of flannel pants, 3 pair of jeans, a shirt, snowboots and snowpants. I also added to it a brand new 1000 piece puzzle and a skirt.

I've added a few things to the garbage can including a runner rug from our mudroom, a set of burned out christmas lights, leaking rain boots, and a dish rag and rag. I've done a bit of shredding and dumped the shredder.

I also added 3 large boot boxes to the recycle bin. I know they come in handy sometimes and we've used them in the past, but they take up so much room. There was one in my closet, one in the mudroom closet and one in my son's closet. I thought about saving them with my empty boxes in the storage room but I didn't. Hope I don't regret it. Isn't it weird how we can get held up on such mundane things, like free boot boxes?

During the time these boards were down, we hired a contractor to put a coating on the garage floor that resists stains and road salt. We were ruthless as we purged things. I'd say "this rake needs a handle" and he'd say "I could try to replace it", to which I'd say " TRASH IT". Our garbage bin was full to the point that we put some boards in our neighbor's bin. The project was a success and we put everything back in an orderly fashion. Ironically, the things I find most cumbersome are the trash and recycling bins we are forced by the town to use. Until now, we rarely filled those huge monsters.
