that makes me nauseated to think of what might have happened.  We had one in our "fuse box" when DH was in the military in another country where we had just moved and I was alone with two children, pregnant with the third and had hyperemesis gravidarum and I can still smell that smell today if I think about it.  it died in the fuse box and we could not figure out where the odor was coming from because it had permeated the whole house and it was quite large house.
