Has anyone tried using citric acid for making their own cleaning products?

I haven't but I know that citrus base products are highly effective and environmentally

friendly.  There's recipes online using lemon and orange peels as a base and then you add other things depending on what you are cleaning..... windows, bathroom, carpet stains ,etc.

When I lived in West Texas, the water was so hard we had to use pure citric acid powder in each dishwasher load.  I'm not sure it would be very effective in a cleaning product.

I have a big bag that I got from Amz that I use to clean my water boiler and coffee pots, and other things that minerals deposits build up in.

however I did spill some and it got sticky so making cleaner, not sure,  but its' amazing at cleaning anything were you have water deposits,
