I don't really understand the appeal of the "tiny homes". It seems to me it makes more sense to buy a small house or trailer home.
I couldn't live in a home without a full, functioning kitchen and bathroom.
Could you live in a tiny home? What features would you insist on having?

@house_cat No way, just not for me! I need a full fuctioning kitchen (I cook & bake far too much for somthing that small). The rest of a tiny house I could live with, but maybe not the bathrooms, though I do not need a lot of room, trying to take a shower in one of those bathrooms would no doubt feel very claustrophobic! And some of the bedrooms are "Loft" style, I do not care for those at all!
Edit my 1st reaction: If I could design my own tiny home and put it on land that I chose, I could see myself living in one!

I love a small home. It's been my experience that when I have a ton of extra rooms, I still only live in three... the living room, kitchen, and bedroom. I don't entertain much at home, have no children, and prefer out of town guests stay at a hotel instead of in my space when visiting. Give me a garden and a spacious luxurious bathroom, and I can love the home.
My bucket list item is a small cottage in a rural area to live out my golden years.

If it were in a place where you spend most of the time outside, maybe.
A smaller home would require less cleaning, that's a big yay. I would have to have a huge kitchen, though, even if it took up most of the house, open floor plan, at least 1 1/2 baths (2 full would be better) but they wouldn't be these ballroom sized things I see in newer houses, bedrooms could be small, also not ballroom sized (seriously do not get this trend at all), a nice laundry area and office area....but gotta have big kitchen...

Personally, I could not live in something that small. However, I wouldn't mind having one as my studio.

My home in San Diego was only 650 sq feet - it was a one bedroom craftsman. Had two dogs and just me - it was plenty of room for the time being. Now I have a house over 4 times as large and find it overwhelming sometimes - I really don't use many of the rooms. I like a quaint area to live in. Feels more homey to me.

No. I like my space.

No.
Many of those tiny homes have a loft where the bed is. I wouldn't want to climb up anything to go to sleep. Those little bathrooms would drive me crazy.
I couldn't live in a camper either. Having a bed pushed up against a wall - I wouldn't be able to sleep.
I don't need to live in a mansion, but I like to have space.

it's funny, i just read an article from Jonathan and Drew Scott, of HGTV's Property
Brothers and they said they hate tiny houses. They also said that they are not up
to code.. I found that interesting. My husband and i downsized from a 12 rm, 3
story house to a 2 bed, 2 bath condo. That is as small as we're going.. lol
