@stevieb I believe I see a bit of "cottage core," Rachel Ashwell's shabby chic, a soupçon of farmhouse, and it's all good. 

In my home, I must reconcile the more cottage core side of me with a lifetime's love of mid-century. It's all quite incoherent.

I do love these Leslie Saeta (I visit her 100 year old home website) cottage vignettes, but if I lived there, I'd def. need to create at least one mid-century modern room.

After the NYTimes and WaPo send me nearly over the edge every day, my recovery often consists of visiting design/decor websites. And of course, QVC forum, which I must confess does set me on edge occasionally as well.

Very pretty!  LOVE all of the window panes and slip covered furniture as well as the style of the house!!!

@laluzdelmundo  What a nice post. Thank you. I have to admit I only have one piece of mid-century furniture, so we'll have to sort of part ways on that one, but I do love my parent's old coffee table from their first house. Its been painted so many times but is a perfect occasional table and has been used  in many rooms. Anyway, I'm glad you enjoy the posts and while I don't post as often as I once did, as interest in the home forum seems to rotate and right now there seems to be less interest in home decor, I do try to post from time to time. I do understand and agree, we do, for sure, need a pleasant respite after a hefty dose of the real world!

It is lovely...a bit too girly for all the boys in my family but it can be a getaway for my DD and I..the only girls in the family.

The glasses in the cabinet are the only real colors in the pictures...overall it seems bland.
