I just caught a glimpe at the price of linens that Dan was selling on the morning show - $98.00 for 700tc those treated wrinkle resistant linens.
They need to SERIOUSLY stop charging the same high prices for every size. Who in their right mind is paying $98 for twin size when I'm paying $98 for cali king or king or even queen? Why do they do this? If I were in my local target looking for new linens for my queen sized bed I STILL would not be paying $98 for them.
Of course I also would not be buying chemically treated ones just for fewer (or maybe no) wrinkles either. That's just crazy!

@PINKdogWOODI think linens are pretty much like any other item - you can pay less and you can pay 2,3, or 20 times that much. Probably depends upon your wallet and your values. If $98 is too much for that set, we both know how QVC will find out --and then a few buyers will get them on clearance.
I'm not currently in the linen market, but I have to say I'm just glad QVC hasn't gotten into the "we sell queen and king only routine" as so many retailers seem to be doing. Can't tell you the many times I've seen a sheet set I like only to find it's not offered in the twin or full size.

This is why I only have 2 sets of sheets for each bed in my home. Why pay for something to just sit in the linen closet? That said ,those were 700 thread count sheets, and I do not find I feel it is necessary to buy such luxury in bedsheets. I feel good quality is good enough, we do not need luxury quality. I generally buy items like sheets at Walmart.

I stopped buying sheets at Q a number of years ago.
I used to get what I thought were wonderful quality sheets in both the Northern Night brand as well as some from Valerie Parr Hill. They were made of very good quality fabric, and wore well for years and years (many I still have and use).
But that stopped, and after purchasing several sets that didn't last a year, I moved on. I found great sheets at Sam's Club, for a lot less than Q is selling sheets, and they are priced by size, so if you want smaller sheets, you pay a smaller size. Only makes sense. And those Sam's Club sheets are wearing like iron, much bigger (for these new super thick mattresses) and have the best system for fit and staying put on the bed.
Everyone is looking for different things in sheets, but what I have learned is that if I find the qualities that I'm looking for in sheets, and at a price I consider fair, I stock up. Because nothing is available for long anymore, the quality of everything is declining to keep price points in line, and having a number of sheet sets to alternate helps them to last for many years, rather than using the same set or two over and over.
As a side note I was looking at quilts and comforters on Q and was shocked at what they are sometimes calling a queen size now. I saw one that was 88x88 inches. With today's thick mattresses, this just isn't enough to get the proper drop to cover the mattress.
They are shaving inches off the size of sheets and quilts and blankets and have been for a number of years now. Drives me crazy.

I've been buying sheets at Stein Mart.
They're good quality and don't cost an arm and a leg. I always need extra king size pillowcases.

I don't buy wrinkle resistant sheets. They have to use lots of chemicals to make them wrinkle resistant. Don't need sheets with any more chemicals used on the fabric then they already use.
I paid $180 for a set of Flannel sheets from LL Bean in Oct. That price is with 15% off. Wish they carried nice Egyptian Cotton Sheets.
I'm in the market for a nice set of 100% Egyptian Cotton Sheets with a 400-500 TC for spring/summer. I don't like the thicker feeling sheets with higher TC.
I'm willing to pay more for my sheets. Just think how much time you spend in bed. I want soft & comfy with NO PILLING.
I have bought a set of sheets from Wal-Mart. They were 100% Egyptian Cotton & were soft & comfy. They were thinner weight material then I usually buy. They made the fitted sheet with the stripe going the wrong direction. LOL!!!
I have also bought sheets at Sam's Club. Their Hotel Luxury Sheets 100% Egyptian Cotton 600 TC sheets are pretty nice. I'm still looking for better. Their Members Mark brand 400 TC sheets stink. They are 100% cotton but crappy cotton. The sheets are rough & scratchy. I hate them. I threw the set I bought last year in the trash. They also started wearing holes in a couple of the corners on the fitted sheet. I had only used those sheets for about 3 months.

@Nightowlz - Just a suggestion. If you encounter more sheets, or blankets for that matter, that you don't like or want anymore please don't throw them in the trash! Animals shelters and rescues are always in need of sheets and blankets.

Thank you never thought about that. I have some now I can give them. I have already started slowly with spring cleaning. Have cleaned out a few cabinets so far. I'm sure our shelter can use anything you can give them. DH cuts up old towels for rags he uses in the garage & has old sheets he uses as drop clothes when he does painting.
