Considering wood-grain laminate flooring

I am considering laminate flooring in my living areas and kitchen. I do not have a lot of specialty flooring stores in my area, so may have to use Home Depot or Lowes. Any recommendations or experiences you can provide about a brand of laminate or buying through one of the above stores will be appreciated.
