I decided to invest in rechargeable batteries.  It has made a difference in my decision to purchase the timed, twinkling lights that make my home a happy place.

Re: Concerned Val Pal

Valerie seems like a very nice person, but I do not share her esthetic and also, in any event, do not decorate my home for holidays beyond a possible new wreath for the front door or a small holiday themed metal stake near the front door. My level of "decorating" is similar to that of most homes in this metropolitan area, at least in the homes that I have visited where the only significant holiday decorations are for Christmas, when there are many elaborate interior and exterior displays.

I may be mistaken, but when Valerie first started at Q didn't she offer mostly hand crafted items made here in US? Perhaps I've confused her with the QVC Local 1995 or the handmade items offered by Phyllis George....long time ago.

I did not watch Valerie for a very long time, but I understand she started selling wreaths on QVC.

Valerie has items online we never see on air.  Rugs, pillows, placemats, furniture.  The shows need to include more of her line and not just the glass illuminated ducks and crosses. And the displays during the shows are overdone!  By the time you pay for the candles, candle holders, picks, swags, pumpkins, card holders, etc. you can't buy the main course!  Home decor in general on QVC seems to be interested in price points as they should but in the jewelry department we see $7000 rings!  There is room for a bit better home decor at higher prices.  Ballard Designs and Grandin Road are part of the Q corp world and I see no reason to not showcase their products.  Prices are determined in corp world but home shoppers have the final say so corp world needs to respect that.  When I was a home furnishings buyer it was always part of the buying process...retail selling price, is it sellable?
