Competitive Christmas

What I find disturbing is the way the holidays have become competitive in giving and decorating in some areas. Around me, many pay a fortune to have their houses professionally decorated. Many conversations center around how much they are spending for gifts for their kids and what new and pricey gifts they are giving their ungrateful ( my discription) children. They complain about being SO busy and stressed. It is seldom about celebrating the season with love and giving to others less fortunate. It has become so materialistic and superficial. It just makes me shake my head!! {#emotions_dlg.huh}
