I don't care for them, but I don't like the color or furniture in the room, so that may have something to do with it as well.

The plates don't bother me nearly as much as those awful mirrors and all that molding. However, I feel decorative plates (plain or otherwise) belong in a dining room or eat-in kitchen.

Don't care for it at all.  About the only thing I like in the room is the chandelier.

What caught my eye immediately about this one is that they have defined panels with wood trim, then deliberately hung plates on the lines and outside of them, perhaps for a touch of whimsy?

The room is beautiful, love the colors. But the plates would absolutely drive me crazy. I would constantly be moving them in my mind. Smiley Happy

With the squares on the wall the plates look really odd...
