Where's the embarrassed pink Poodle with a disgusted look on its face?

So often, a room has lovely architectural details, as this one does, but I wouldn't survive this owner's taste in decor.

I love the drama of the color they chose for the sofa and how the draperies intesify that drama. Very lovely.

You can always tell when a room is in Paris. To me, those rooms, salons, always have amazing huge doors and the scrolly stuff on the walls. I don't know what they call the scrolly's? Architechtural points of interest? I don't know? Just very parisian. Nice.

@Queen of shop  I'm pleased you enjoy the room. It's a very individualized decor and I too like the intense color, if not necessarily the style of the furnishings they've selected. The highly decorative paneling is called boiserie and yes, like you, I really appreciate the look of these older Parisian apartments with the large windows and decorative treatments!

@Foxxee  Sorry, no pink topiary poodle...  Beautiful bones, for sure. I like the colors and I like the patterned fabric, though I might have gone with a bit less of it, but I don't care for the modern style of the furniture selected...

Very unique!  I love each individual color used, but they're a bit much all together!

This room would certainly "slam" you awake in the morning!

The colors are really pretty and I must say it just made me smile looking at the photo of the room. However the couch doesn't look very comfortable and the tables in front of it are not my favorite. I think it would not get used much on a daily basis or me.
