Re: Colorful Reading/Sitting Area

@lolakimono, I think you're right - I just looked at the photo again. Amazing how light (natural or not) can change the look of the entire room or just one feature. It reminds me of carrying those little paint swatches around to different walls in a room at different times of the day.

Re: Colorful Reading/Sitting Area

If this is to be a reading room, where are the comfortable chairs to lean back against with an ottoman to put your feet up and a table beside them for your tea.  And a lamp beside the chair to light up your book in a soft way.

Nothing in the room goes together - I don't mean matching, but coordinating.  This room would make me nervious.  Couldn't read because I would be trying to get comfortable and the room would be drawing my eye in an irritating way.  It is so disfunctional - can't say aything good about this room.  I like mixing patterns, but who would put those chairs with that rug.

A nice looking room if they lost the flame stitch fabric on the matching chairs. They might want to lose the rug too but I would need to see it more closely.

There's an air of insanity. It's a room to avoid.

I can’t even look at the photo. It’s way too busy and looks awful.

Too busy. The furniture is ugly.
