Hmmm...This room setup would be too distracting for me. As a former librarian, soft shades on the wall and carpeting were de rigueur.

I love the built-in bookcases, sofa, and coffee table!

I don't like the accent chairs, rug, or paint color of the doors; I'd have to find another way to pull the sofa & table together in the room. It's too much for me.

Not peaceful and relaxing the way I think a Reading Nook or room should be.....The only thing I like are the bookcases.....Too many different textures and patterns here.

Oh, wow. I could take the solid colors and I like the bookshelves, but the prints would be too distracting for me.

I like the architecture and the furniture (but not in the colors pictured.) I don't mind the wall color, but I really dislike the door color.

I would tweak that room into something that I would really like.

That room makes me think of a designer showcase space in which the decorator wants us to see what's available as much as what we might do with it. From that room, I might start with the rug and the coffee table/ottoman and design around them with other pieces - assuming of course, I had space large enough for them.
