Ahhhhh---my dream is to live on the beach in a lovely smallish cottage all done in beachy decor and colors!!!!! Must be a beach with sun most the time--I live in WA state and our beaches, 3/4 of the time, are cold, grey and rainy----just awful!!!!!

We live in a coastal resort town (tourist have already started arriving). We do have 2 bathrooms and the front entrance/hallway decorated in a coastal-nautical theme. That's all though. That is enough. Most homes here have one or two rooms decorated that way. Rentals have much more of the coastal decor because that is what tourist expect.  I like the Pottery Barn room. It is light and airy, warm and inviting.

White chairs at dinning room table is a recipe for disaster!!!  Im not really into coastal either.........

@YorkieonmyPillow I like certain elements, but not a beach/coastal/nautical 'theme'. I do enjoy some nautical lighting and some ship art or even models of ships, but beyond that, not so much, and a little, for me, goes a long way... While blues are beautifu, I'm also not overly fond of too much blue in decor, so that's a factor for me too... And even if I lived at the beach, I wouldn't use one of the 'water' themes...  Individual choices...

Yes, these... I don't care for them at all... I won't say I detest them, but I don't like them and we're seeing a lot of them, often in some shade of blue...
