Good Morning MTH,
It was a good day yesterday for what little bit of time I got to spend here.  Looks like everyone had a great time and did plenty of shopping.  I just stuck to the cloche and am happy with my decision of changing to the GB house.
Glad you got or hopefully got the reindeer.  I was a little disappointed they had sold out before you could get them. Were you in the wine this morning???  LOL You have been good .
From what I saw of the shows, I think Valerie brought in some nice things.  Can't wait for the CIJ shows coming up to see what she might have.
Have a great day
JPC

I think last night's wine actually did me a favor. I fell asleep!  Other than those two purchases, that's all I did too.  I'm sure there will be lots more temptations along the way so figured I shoudl pace myself.  There were lots of nice things yesterday. It was fun.  Hope you have a good day too.

Re: Christmas In July (New Thread).

Hi Lucy! I didn't buy anything yesterday. I would have been in trouble with the  6:00p.m. show, but ended up with a migraine, and just saw the first item or two. I loved the finials they showed early in the day in the champagne. Not sure how I didn't pull the trigger on those... so pretty...

It was for the best I'm sure. Between our own Christmas in July at the store, and another at a bazaar at our church in the fall, I just couldn't imagine where I'd put everything. We also have alot of sentimental pieces. I kept thinking how I probably wouldn't have a place for something I love that we already have, if I buy much more. Sounds sappy, I know, but that's me..... I glad for everyone who found things they loved, and hope they are beyond fabulous when you receive them. pinky

Well, I did the same thing, MTH.  I'm seriously thinking of canceling my Reindeer order as I don't need anymore.  I need to post a pic of my Reindeer collection.  I also got the OTO snowballs in white.  So, I got four items yesterday.  Too many.  :-)

Hi pinky, well you did good and I didn't.  I got two TSV, the OTO snowballs in white and the Reindeer.  Oh, my, got to stop.  :-)  I love that you use the treasured pieces and I have a few as well.  Enjoy your store sale and don't buy too much.  lol

Hi MTH, it was a fun day.  I ended up buying more than I intended to, as usual.  But, I'll be careful from here on out.  Storage is a problem.

Re: Christmas In July (New Thread).

Hi all - really enjoyed the shows yesterday and heaing what everyone was getting. I didn't get anything. I really debated on the santa TSV as I love the old fashioned santas, but I passed; it was cute though. I think for me I am really wondering about what will be offered on the big weekend coming up so that is why I didn't get it. I saw the deer pop in and out yesterday too, but decided against them again. really like them, but I have too many sets plus i like it when one is laying and one is standing and this set has both of them standing, so I talked myself out of that one too. I am really hoping val brings more new on the CIJ weekend and can't wait to see the preview! I hope you all post when you get your goodies!!

Hi All:  Lucy I didn't realize you had gone back and got the deer.  To be honest, since all I got was the deer and the church, I don't think I did too badly.  I really tried to be good and I think for me those two items were enough. I did think hard about the snowballs, but didn't reach for the button fast enough and the color I wanted disappeared.  I hesitated because I am really tired of buying batteries.   I'd rather have my reindeer than spend extra money on batteries.  Justification is a fun thing isn't it???

Kel you showed tremendous restraint but I understand your reasoning.  Just wish I had that willpower sometimes.

Pinky hope you are feeling better. Migraines are no fun!!

Well rest up everyone. We get to do it again on CIJ weekend!

I can't edit this for some reason, so sorry about the typos.  I seem to make so many more on this new forum than before, wonder why.

I did it this morning too. I hope we aren't disappointed either.  I got last year's deer set on an "as is" price later in the season, but I really wanted to get these for some reason.  Let me know what you think of them when yours arrive.
