Re: Christmas In July (New Thread).

I was going to buy the white frosted, but then read Peter's description saying that they are blue when lit, thank you, Peter, and that I do not want, so did not buy.  I wanted white for my red and white room/tree in the family room, blue would not work.  I don't understand why it would be blue, except that her gingerbread houses looked blue also, so I never light them.  Why wouldn't a white bulb be white or clear as they are for other items, I wonder.

Hi mousiegirl, I got the champagne ones last year and they are beautiful until you light them and then, they may as well all be called blue.  I did notice that the red ones color stayed true when they showed them on air, if they were lit and I assume that they were.  I used mine unlit because I hated that blue hue.  But, if people can watch the video they will know that, hopefully. I asked Valerie last year about using the true or warm (I think) white in her items but I see they didn't change anything about that.  These are beautiful unlit but we buy them to light, so  it's a disappointment.  I have read posts from people who love them.

Mousie, I'm particularly interested in the quality of those snowballs, and whether or not they shed a lot. Thank you for all your input!

Hi Peter, I thought I'd mention to you that the snowballs are identical to the 6" set of three sparkle spheres that Valerie had last season.  I have the white and I didn't have a lot of the beads shedding off.  The 6" ones are as is for $25, H204396  and H203312 for regular $34.78.  Some people complained about a lot of shedding but I didn't move mine around a lot so didn't experience a lot of that.  Hopefully, Mousiegirl will confirm that they are the same.  I also ordered the snowballs. I meant that the snowballs are made like the 6" but are, of course, smaller.  :-)

Re: Christmas In July (New Thread).

Lucy, I ordered those 6" Snowballs in White last year, but I returned them because one of them didn't light. Also, I felt that the lights were too warm for a snowball look, and I think they were almost yellow. However, I don't think the yellowish lights would bother me too much if I ordered the sets in Silver this year. It just looked like yellow snowballs in last year's 6" white set. Sorry that I can't quote other posts. I'm working on my phone which doesn't give that option.

I used mine in a large basket with sugar pincones, ornaments and some of the small spheres Valerie had in the set of six so I didn't really notice the yellow color, I guess. I know we were always told not to eat yellow snow, probably reminded you of that. :-)  I'm anxious to see the silver ones if they ever get here.
