Being too picky, the tray looks a little beat up.

I think it's a very pretty collection.

Too much clutter. I love the starfish. How do you pronounce that first word? My DH and I can not figure it out. 🤣🤣🤣

This would be at home in a beach house outfitted with crisp white furnishings and a minimal amount of fuss. It would serve as the star in the room that requires minimal clutter.

I am a fan of chinoiserie, especially as accent pieces in a traditional room.
Here is the pronunciation:
Shen-wah-seh-ree

Chinoiserie is a perfect example of a design style that is truly global. Contrary to what it's whimsical China-inspired depictions might suggest, chinoiserie did not originate in Asia, but Europe. The word itself is the French equivalent of what might be termed in English as, "Chinese-ish." But despite the tongue-in-cheek nature of the idea and its name, chinoiserie has proven to be an enduring trend, particularly when teamed with toile, another French motif on wallpaper and upholstery. And like every design trend the beginnings of chinoiserie reflect the time, place, and mood of its origin. For chinoiserie, the story of its creation involves an enduring fascination with Chinese pottery, drastic changes in the French monarchy and the emergence of an international design aesthetic.

While the pieces in the grouping are individually pretty, I would have less on the tray and probably eliminate the glass dome piece. Just my taste.

Just a slight correction in pronunciation,
it's a french word so it is
sheen wa se ree with the accent on the 2nd and 4th syllable.
That 8 years of french has to count for something!
