The Southern Elegance Roses is very strong (which is fine for me).  I have a townhouse and I had it lit in the master bathroom and I could smell it as I was going up the stairs.

The Lexington isn't as strong.  I had that lit on the counter between my living room and kitchen and it just has a nice warm scent to it.  It's apple, maple and bourbon, so no strong notes like the roses.

Southern Elegance certainly ships fast.

I got my order today.  They are lovely.

They also send a tea light sample.  So now I have 2 of the pomegranate lemonade ones (a little too sweet for me, but I like a strong candle when I microwave something that stinks up the place).

I have not tried the Pomegranite Lemonade.....Sounds interesting, but more for Spring/Summer. Right now I am burning their Orange Spice, it is really nice and not too overwhelming.....Its a rainy, dark, gloomy day, so it is perfect for a spicy scent!

@CANDLEQUEEN

How strong are the Southern Elegance candles?  I have an open floor plan - kitchen, family room and dining area and it's quite a large area. I want something strong enough to smell but not so strong it gives me a headache like BBW's candles do.

@itsmetoo Hi. They are strong, but definitely not as strong as Bath and Body Works. The containers are smaller, and they are not 3 wicks, so you may have to light more than one for a super large open area.......The scents are nice though, and not overpowering, but you can smell them....Another company I love and their candles are super nice is Pure Integrity Candles........

Thank you!!

Link is on their social media.

Southern Elegance update

Working from home and burning these all day was creating a soot situation in my HVAC filters.  Because these are heavily fragranced and soft wax, this happens.

So lucky for me they just released reed diffusers, so I'm going to try these instead and just burn candles when I don't run my HVAC (which is now) and see if this works for me for the next couple of months.

Smiley Sad

@VaBelle35 Yes, I noticed for me as well when burning for a really long time, it gets sooty, so I started only burning for about 3 hours at a time, and keeping the wicks trimmed down as well.

That is the only downside to them so far....Let me know how you like the Reed Diffusers, I am kind of torn on those because I have had ones I could barely smell after a day or two.......

Does anyone regularly light candles?  Do you have a favorite fragrance?

A Cheerful Giver Pumpkin Chata and Orange, Cinnamon,  and Clove are my favorites for Fall, but I have a lot of this brand in difference scents.  I like the Bayberry for Christmas, Cozy Cabin, and on and on.

The throw on these candles is great as I can smell them rooms away from where they are burning.

Zulily has a nice listing today of this brand, much less expensive than amazon offers.

@CANDLEQUEEN   I am starting with one reed at a time to see how many I need for each room.  My bathroom upstairs is good with one reed.  I don't want it to be overpowering as the bathrooms are very small.

My main level will probably need all 6 but we'll see.
