I have two sets of silver Valerie square pedestals which I ordered for gifts. Out of the four pedestals, 3 are leaning, so I can't even make one good set out of them to keep. I have been checking to see if the silver has come back into stock on these, (item H204408), and I haven't seen any. If I send these two sets back and ask for replacements, does the return dept hold my order until two silver sets of these come back in? Or, do they check to see if two are available when they process the return, and if two silver sets are not available, will they issue a refund on the spot? I don't want a refund. I would like two good sets of silver pedestals.
I don't know what to do~ to keep checking on my own, and try to snag two sets, or send them back. If they issue a refund right away if two are not immediately available, I don't want to go through all of this, as I paid by money order. These have shown sold out for days now, with a couple of chocolate and gold sets becoming available, but not too many.

Rosehill, your best bet might be to ask customer service how the process works. You may have to ask to speak to a supervisor to get a correct answer.

Yep. My experience has been that even if the item is in stock, they just refund me, unless I call CS before I send it back,no matter what I put on the return slip.

I'm not seeing many of them show up anymore. When I got my Red set, they turned out to be Valerie's set of six small spheres. Marked on the box as the square pedestals but NOT. I'm holding them to see if I can catch a set of Red square pedestals back in. I need some red and these do work and look fine so may have to figure out how to incorporate them in my plan instead of the pedestals. I have several clear glass pedestals like Valerie uses so maybe could use the spheres on those.
Rosehill, I hope you catch a couple of good sets of Silver pedestals. They are few and far between now, unless I'm just checking at the wrong time. Did the sphere mix up happen to you? I'm thinking I remember hearing that. Could it be the same ones?

I don't think you are checking at the wrong time, Lucy. They are few and far between. These silver were in the first wave on pedestals I ordered, and had I known they were going to be defective, I could have ordered countless back up sets of silver, but just passed them by. These silver sets are going to 30 something women, and silver seems to be what they like. I have some sets of gold I could give them, but I know they would like the silver better.
I didn't get any sets of six spheres by mistake, but I did have one set of chocolate that only had one pedestal in the box! Thanks for you good luck wishes-I will keep looking. And, I hope you can get your red ones. I have a set in red and I really love them.

The silver set I received recently has one that was formed slightly crooked around the midsection, which makes the top look a little tilted. I have debated over what to do since I really do like them and want to keep them for the as is price.
For the moment I have placed a small felt circle, the kind that sticks to a chair leg to protect a hard floor, onto one of the existing black pads underneath. I turned that side to the back of the mantel, where I've left them for now. Adding the felt pad adjusted the tilt just enough that I honestly do not notice any leaning at all anymore.
rosehill, For gift-giving, I realize this won't be as easy to accomplish. Just a thought.

Rosehill, how awful to be in such as a mess. I would call, request to speak with a supervisor, and ask what they can do to make it right. You deserve some kind of consideration!
People have been calling for better quality control regarding Val's products, and rightfully so. I have been spared the aggravation so far, just experienced some issues with the battery boxes in last year's pedestals.
So annoying! Have to admit hearing about all the issues with her products has made me stop and consider before I buy. I have to really love something before I order.
