I received my red Luminara candles earlier today and let them cool a few hours before taking off the plastic sleeve. The sleeve comes off but the what is left behind is aweful. The outside has marks all over it. I just put batteries in it and set the timer. I'm not liking the glow as well as the ivory one. You can't see the glow through the red hardly at all. I think this will have to go back.
