Calling All Crafters - September 2016

Hi All,

I didn't see any comments regarding yesterday's shows... Did anyone buy any Anna G. or Crafter's Companion stuff? Anything else? I think the next 24 hour craft day is in early October, maybe the 5th. I have the fantastic flips kits with the dies, so I got the stamps so that I can use them for eternity. My favorites list is about a million items long, but I'm trying to be good and wait for things to go on a decent sale. I picked up a few other things a well, but there are limits to how many dies, etc I really need or will ever use.

I didn't watch the shows, but did order the Spectrum Noir TS bundle, another of their christmas card kits, and the big dazzle package. I wanted to try their new pens and coloring books. I really enjoy sitting and coloring, just relaxing to me. If I don't like, I'll send them back.

I've been disappointed in AG products lately, so didn't order anything from her. I think her quality continues to suffer, but prices still remain high. I think she needs to return to her previous quality in paper and in brighter colors with improved packaging, before I buy again. JMO..

I watched mainly one of Anna's shows. I ordered a few Christmas items - the card toppers, the blank cards and the flocked layers. Her large Christmas card kit looked to me like it was last year's, with the addition of the stamps. I passed on the TSV bundle because I already have more markers and coloring books than I could ever use in my lifetime!

Always have had good luck with Anna's items. I hadn't noticed any deterioration in quality in my purchases.

The only time I watch the 'other channel' is when they have craft day. Sure do miss those days on QVC. I did order the We R Memories frame punch board. Thought it may help with paper waste when matting photos. Sounds like a good idea. Many of their hosts do get on my nerves though. Liked Anna's Christmas card kit, but at over $50, felt it was quite pricey, and don't think that many of the people I send Christmas cards to would keep/or display them, so all my work in the garbage. Will be watching for the next craft day in Oct.

I didn't watch the shows or place any orders. I only send out Christmas cards to those who I won't see during the holidays. I found some cute pre-made ones recently, so I had no need to buy supplies. I was on auto-ship for the Cricut Christmas cartridge so I did receive that.

I agree that I'm not happy with the value of some of AG's offerings lately.

I bought the flocked layers, the Christmas toppers and the Playful Pieces cardmaking kit that is on clearance. I've been wanting that one awhile to make cards for my grandkids but didn't want to pay full price. I am not into coloring so passed on the today's special and so many of Anna's things are getting extremely pricey. I loved the big Christmas card kit BUT that was way too expensive for me. (She did, btw, say this was the exact same kit as last year. They basically took leftover kits and added stamps to them to get people to buy them. Her words, not mine.) I kept checking in to see if anyone was posting but I felt all alone so I didn't say anything, just left. But I missed everyone. We need to make sure and check in on October 5th for the next big craft day so we can do a bit of shopping together. As if any of us need help shopping, right? lol!

I was feeling like we hadn't chatted about our crafts for a long time too. I'm glad people are chiming in! Yes, Anna's pop up Christmas card kit is the same as last year. When I sent them last year I got so many compliments. My nephew who does website creation for a living said I should have a website because the card I sent him was "professional stuff". So funny! I picked up another kit during one of her warehouse sales earlier this year, so I wasn't tempted, but if you're on the fence, the kit is so fun!

I got carried away as always. i ordered the Spectrum Noir Colorista TSV, the 3 large Glitter & Foil Pads and the Holiday Wishes and Everyday Cheer Cardmaking Kits. And from Anna Griffin the Holiday Vintage Card Topper Die Cuts, Fantastic Flips Sentiment Stamp Set and the Festive & Fancy Sentiment Stickers.

I'm going to have to do some more organizing and purging in my craft room!
