@Oznell as always thank you for posting these photos. I enjoy looking at all of them. What a lovely warm home.

@Oznell I really like the kitchen but the other designs are too dark and moody for my taste. With that being said, I appreciate her obvious talent and living in a space that "speaks" to the owner is what it is all about.
Many thanks for all your comments about the designs...I really enjoy reading them.

@Oznell thank you.
I'm sure there are many who enjoy and admire her vision. I will simply say it just isn't my taste. I did like the beautiful sunflowers flanked by the pretty, comfortable looking chairs.
Also that is one of the sweetest dogs I've ever seen.

I think that there is too much "stuff" on every flat surface. A lot of the combinations seem incoherent to me. But then I am a minimalist and like simple lines without distractions that do not contribute to the esthetic quality of the overall design. Some of the individual pieces soar and need to shine without the ambient clutter.

@manny2 , I love your points-- esp. about it being intentional and balanced. Very observant!
@Regal Bee , the master bedroom walls did feel too dark for me, maybe because they were combined with the dark furniture, the dense pattern of the curtains, etc....

Yes, very cozy. Also love her color choices
both warm, cool, and "friendly". I have similar colors but because of our wood ceiling that adds darkness to the room, I chose an off white color for my sofa.
It may be a few more things in the room then in my home but my living and dining area is all one big open room with a wooden cathdral ceiling over it all. It can get busy looking pretty fast.......soooooo
I try to control the urge to buy more....BUT
It is darn hard!

I guess that's a matter of opinion. I don't think the house is over-accessorized at all.

@Oznell Wondering if that rug is a Wilton. Any info on that?

I think her house and decor are so interesting. She is clearly quite an educated collector.
I love tramp art, and am kind of fascinated by her collection and the clever way she displayed it.
For the photography, the rooms might have looked a little lighter without so many pieces displayed such as on the coffee table. I think toning down the patterns might have also helped. I'm just not a fan of that light print fabric on the pair of upholstered chairs and I don't quite see how they fit into the scheme, but I'm sure the fabric by itself is lovely, it's just too much for my taste.
I think we are used to the strict rules of "staging" and don't tolerate a lot of the real way we live with precious objects. The photos might have benefitted from editing of so much stuff, but I do really appreciate seeing how she put rooms together. I'm not such a fan of the heavy colors in the master bedroom, but that spool bed in the second bedroom is just precious and light and the strict color scheme makes for a very appealing look.
Thanks for sharing this with us, Oznell.

Oh, and that modern minimalist thing looks like office furniture leftovers in an unfinished apartment.
I'm actually repulsed by it.
