CI Set of 5 Embossed Flameless

Not good. I read graycat's review, but plunged on anyway.

I received H203174. Candle Impressions Scroll Embossed Flameless Candles Ivory. I was not encouraged when I picked up the box. Too light!! Bad Impressions!! (So sorry, couldn't resist) Opened the box and found GRAY ivory candles. Light, light, light and I don't mean the battery operated light.

What happened to my beloved CI flameless? I have 3 older sets, all really heavy and so realistic looking. This set is similar in weight and heft to the flameless I found at Menards. I paid $7.20 approx including S&H for each candle; think I got my money's worth but no more. Thinking about returning them but I really need some for my Christmas vignettes. Any one have an alternate suggestion? Someone mentioned Kohl's??

I guess I will have to start shopping around for a quality flameless cause these are no longer.

Re: CI Set of 5 Embossed Flameless

I have a bunch from Kohl's website, WL, but they are all by Inglow (same parent co as CI), and are the Rustic style. I think they would be the same as what you are finding at Menard's. I probably paid between $5 and $7 each for them with sales and codes.

I was just now looking for CI's online outlet, but I am unable to find it. I know at one time they had some older styles there. Maybe they closed it?

WL, Be sure to search Am@zon for Candle Impressions. I see a lot of them there, some of which look like older styles. I have never ordered candles from Am@zon FYI. It's also difficult to know based on a picture if the quality of the older-appearing ones (the scroll hurricane, for example) is the same as the ones you reference, of if they are just a lighter/cheaper newer version. They appear to be nice, but who knows. HTH!

Sorry you didn't like them. I got the white and they are a true white. They definitely aren't the candles of years ago. They work where I've put them.

Mine definitely have a gray cast to them. If yours are white I think I will send these back and try again. Or look around for something else.

whitelinen...The last time I was in Menards they had no flameless candles by Inglow. I hope they have not stopped selling them but they might have. I was bummed!

Thanks SHOPR; you always know where and what to buy! I'm still debating about keeping them. I can live with their cheaper quality but the grayish hue is really putting me off.

Will wait til Monday and decide. Meanwhile, off the Amazon and Ebay to see if I can find the older CI candles. Sigh.

Thanks mallemo! I have some really pretty apple green FC from Menards. The only drawback is no timer, and of course they are much lesser quality than the older CI candles.

What's new with you? Any exciting projects? Did you see SHOPR's post about the elusive red lantern; she posted a manifesto stating our desires regarding the lantern.

Did you ever request it on Val's website?

Re: CI Set of 5 Embossed Flameless

I received my set in white and they are actually white. I have three of CI candles in the scroll pattern from a few years ago and it's true that the older ones are thicker wax than the new ones but I don't have a problem with that. The new ones use two AA batteries and the old ones I have (8"") use two D batteries. The new ones seem fine to me.
