Oznell, yes, I believe all the Winter Greetings pieces I own have a cardinal on them.
I love birds and have a few pieces of china from other brands and treasure them.

@beach-mom , how warm and cozy that is, LOVE! That would be a treat of a feast on your parent's darling table and chairs, and with your elegant "Holly" Christmas china. You are instantly drawn in. Thank you so much for sharing a bit of your family's wonderful traditions!

I have a set of Noritake "Twas the night before" that DH bought for me when we were first married.

He has great taste, @haddon9 . I love the night-time, winter-city-scape quality of it, with the lit street lamps and all-- it's quite magical.

It is cute! We use it for everyday during the month of December...yes it's crazy and extra work and I hope one of the kids will want it some day.

@QVCisFun , your "Friendly Village" mugs are darling, with the covered bridge motif. So lucky to have a teapot too. If I were starting all over, I do think I would collect "Friendly Village".
I've always loved "Old Britain Castles" ! It has that warm pinkish red color similar to @cheriere 's "English Abbey"--
The only Christmas china I can lay claim to is a couple of pieces of "Merry Christmas", also by Johnson Brothers, and also with that cozy feeling that "Friendly Village" has.
They were my mother's -- one reglar teacup and saucer, and one straight-sided ( coupe?) small teacup and saucer--
I like to use them as decor pieces at Christmas. Love the way they have the Christmas trees inside the cups...
@Oznell , I love your mother's Johnson Brothers "Merry Christmas" pieces. Love the fireplace and everything else going on in that vignette. Agree, very cozy feeling.
Of the "Old Britain Castles" photo you posted, we have two of those teacups, saucers, bowls, and medium plates (not the big plate).
Below are a few photos of some "Heritage Hall" pieces we have similar of.

@QVCisFun , "Heritage Hall" is great! Immediately love the look of that. I realize I'm really drawn to patterns that have architecture in them, and not surprised that you are too.

Waechtersbach (from Germany) was always my favorite. I've mentioned on the boards before that my 1st career was a Buyer & Product Developer in the Home Decorative Accessories industry & a consequence was I accumulated many sets of dinnerware, including Christmas. Lol
Besides Waechtersbach, I've had Spode, Nikko, Lenox, Royal Doulton, Fitz & Floyd serving pieces, & more holiday sets. Yikes. I often hosted extended family for 1 day of the holidays. Royal Doulton made a cute Snowman dessert set that I used for "Santa's cookies & milk" for years. I gave most away, especially when I moved last year.
I also accumulated numerous regular dinnerware sets, but thank goodness I purged most. I kept my blue set of Johnson Brothers that I've had for years bc my grandmother had Johnson Bros. brown set.
I'd like to say that I only have only 1 or 2 sets of dishes, but I currently have 5+. And my child bought some Aynsley pieces for me for Christmas that arrived yesterday - very pretty & I love them & the thoughtfulness.
I won't go into my sets of flatware. I purged 3 sets last year, but I might treat myself to 4 placesettings of a different pattern to go with the Aynsley.
You can take the girl out of the tabletop, but you can't take the tabletop out of the girl Lol.

What a striking, colorful set, @Desert Lily ! I bet you have done some brilliant place settings with something so chic. As a buyer, you've been exposed to such an array of stunning house wares, you can be 'forgiven' for indulging in your favorites. And having them allows you to exercise your creativity, always rewarding.
