Like the room but would tone down the buffalo check by replacing the ottoman with a cream colored one.

I guess I haven't been paying enough attention to "trends". I didn't even know Buffalo Check was one until recently. Now I'm seeing it a lot. Guess it depends where one lives. 🤷‍♀️

I would remove the ottoman and go for a simple coffee table.....other than that, I love it.

I like buffalo check which has reached "classic" status.

 

I don't care for signs on walls unless it's an antique.

 

This room, however, is over staged.

I like the wood wall but I'm wondering why the top board is placed away from the wall?  Maybe there is lighting behind it?

 

I'm not crazy about checks (or plaid) in general, but remember it was used a lot when Early American furniture was popular.
