Found a brown recluse spider in my washroom. I like spiders, generally, and take pains to let them live.  Not this one.

Wow - very aggressive, even after repeated spraying with pesticide.  It reared up and refused to go anywhere, but eventually crawled to where I could drop a cloth on it and smash with a 32 oz Philosophy lotion bottle.

I guess I'll have to order more of those Philosophy lotions just for self defense.🕷

It's not that I don't like spiders, I don't like that they bite. I kill everyone I see in my home, we live in the woods and they are every where.

I'll admit to being afraid of bats & spiders but the brown recluse is the stuff nightmares are made of, the pictures of what happens after their bite is scary. They are in MI, hope I never come across one. Glad you killed it@Sweetbay magnolia....gives me the willies just thinking about it.

I know.  I saw it a few days ago behind the mirror - just legs peeking out, but I knew it was ugly.  Today when I saw it in front of the mirror, I knew action was necessary.

Funny thing, the most common identifier is the number of eyes the spider has.  Well. I did not spend time counting.  I just knew.🕷

Glad you killed it. I've heard and read that their bites can be awful to deal with.

Oh...shivers!!!  I'm glad you got it!

I don't hear of them here in southeastern PA so I hope to never encounter one!
