I would have fun turning that room into a classy Egyptian look keeping the wall paper.  I like how the filigree in the chair back seems to mimic the wall paper.  I like the color of the chair fabric.  It's hard to tell what all is going on there but the room is screaming for Cleo to come fix it.

The wallpaper makes me imagine that the dining room is inside of a bee hive. Not a look that I'd want.

Nope, I think it takes away from the room.  There are much prettier wall papers out there.
