Blue Living Room...

[ Edited ]

Yes, this this is another from Sikes... Not a big blue fan but hard not to like this pretty and nicely appointed living room...

This is a warm and comfortable looking room and it is appealing to me.  I love the blue colors.  I would change the mantle decor and remove the mirror and put a oil painting in its place.

Color's fine, just too many prints for me.  I get dizzy and uncomfortable looking at it.

I love blue but this is too much for me.

I like Blue, but this is a bit too much for me. The curtains could be cream colored, or white, and the lamps and the fireplace decor as well to offset some of the blue......I do like the room a lot though.

This, I absolutely love.  For me it's typical Sikes, has wonderful balance.  It's fresh but cozy.   It would be super in any color, but he shows himself to be the master of blues here!  Love that he punctuated all that with the drama of the black lampshades, and he has the wood tones to balance off the cooler colors.  And he knows how to bring in oversize elements, like the cobalt glass hurricanes, the big jars and uns on that lovely painted cupboard, to keep the eye interested...

It's so nice to see a room done by such a master!

My eye was immediately drawn to that gorgeous sofa table.

I sometimes envy folks who can live with just one color -- or two.

I would change this to a solid blue sofa and a few other accessories in solid blue.  Too many printed accessories for my taste.

I could not tolerate this as a living room.  A small sitting room with this type furniture would work.
