In the 1960's when we bought our first house, we could have decorated our dining area like that picture.  It would have been perfect  because we had a counter where we could eat breakfast or any very casual meal.  There was no separate dining room in our little house, but we did have a comfortable, similarly sized area where we often served our own major meals as well as any meals when we had company.  That room had plain, marigold orange walls but a wonderful print carpet.

I think the laege floral wall competes with the floral cushions.  In my opinion it also takes away from those nice looking windows.
