I recently noticed a purple finch going in and out of my Bethlehem Lights hanging geranium basket from year before last. I just checked it and there is a beautiful nest with several eggs. The nest is lined with soft collie fur from my dogs. When the eggs hatch, I sure hope nobody falls out because the dogs will make quick work of them.

By the way, my hanging baskets have been hanging from my covered patio since this time two years ago, and still look like new, even in the intense sun here at 5500 ft in altitude.
