Bernini Rechargeable Fountain/Birdbath Question

I absolutely love the look and the idea of these fountains; however I've hesitated ordering since many of the reviews were not very positive. Anyone have any positive reviews of either fountain and opinions on how to make sure they don't have the problems some have had? I'd love to have one--just don't want to be wasting the money if they don't hold up.
