Re: Bedroom Makeovers: My Three Sons

I agree with those who think these rooms are decorated nicely, but devoid of personality.  Kids have their own interests, and most boys are into sports, cars, etc.  When my son was growing up, he had nice furniture in his room, but it was obvious he loved basketball and cars.

And why not?  You are only a kid once.  Some people would choke if they could see the boy’s dorm rooms in college.  Talk about a real world experience.

Re: Bedroom Makeovers: My Three Sons

As presented as "teen" rooms, I don't see any teen or tween personality in any. They look too "staged" and seem more as a generic guest room than as a teenagers bedroom! Let kids be kids!!! I would guesstimate the parents designed future guest rooms (boring, plain & unappealing in my opinion), not allowing their kids much input. But what do I know?!

I like the warm tones in #3 best. I agree with others that I'm not sure not tween oriented these really are.
