It's certainally an improvement.

I wonder if that is an antique mantle.  They can be be really expensive.  I  don't mind it used as a decorative piece, but I would use a different comforter on the bed.

I like the makeover.  It has a shabby chic feel to it.  Very feminine.

I like everything but the faux fireplace. It looks ridiculous to me. Even an electric fireplace would be better than that. IMO.

The after room is okay except for the wall color, rug and faux fireplace.  It looks exactly what it is.........fake.  It doesn't even look like it fits against the wall.

The before picture is Nanny and PopPop's original bedroom set.  Hopefully was used to fill up the *guest room*.

Otherwise, a very boring person slept there.  Zzzzzzz

@wilma

Like you, I prefer the dresser over the fake fireplace.  That being said, I don't care for the before or after pics.

Why anyone would get rid of storage is beyond me.

Well, it's an improvement.  That's all I can say.  Not my cup of tea.

What is on the fireplace mantel?  Yuck.  Now everything is in ivory color -- the drapes which do look nice but the chair?  Should be a different color.  The comforter at the foot of the bed looks out of place and is unattractive.  Let's just say the Makeover is a mess too.
