Love them all and love a beautifully set table.
One Christmas long ago, I did a sit down dinner for 18 people. DH extended my table with cut plywood and I draped it all with teal crushed velvet (still have that bolt of fabric somewhere).
Dishes were white with a gold band and the chargers were terra cotta with gold wash.
I must say, it was one of my best ever tables. Sadly, I didn't take any photos!
My own personal version of a State Dinner ![]()
I no longer entertain on that scale, but have fond memories of preparation and coordinating everything. When it all comes together -- even if it is cozy and casual -- it is truly satisfying.

That sounds incredible. Since you still have that fabric, maybe you can recreate it one day. Perhaps even in a smaller version.

I keep coming back to this one, @CANDLEQUEEN
The pink is so warm and welcoming, and the bits of yellow are exactly like sunshine highlighting special spots. I would have a hard time tearing myself away when the meal was done.

I was just reminded of a little funny involving a "beautiful table setting." I know I have mentioned it before, but....
It set me to thinking of using charger plates.
I was hosting a buffet and had plates stacked in the serving area, but had placed chargers at everyone's place setting.
One man picked up his large charger and said, "I'd rather fill THIS plate."
I told him it was just for show, but it reminded me of my humble background. I had only recently seen or heard of chargers, so no offense taken on my part and we both had a laugh.
However, I know from experience that DH tells me too much stuff on the table is confusing ![]()
I try to keep our day to day meals simple now ![]()

@Witchy Woman Something similar happened to me. I had set the table with chargers and stacked the dinner plates on the buffet where the food was laid out. One man put food on the charger and when his wife told him that was the charger plate and that the dinner plates were on the buffet, he replied that it was a dirty plate now so he might as well use it. I never said a word or indicated that I had overheard them, but it made me laugh inside.

@roxxy1 I do own those plates from Pier 1, but I cannot take credit for the table setting as I found it online somewhere.

I'm in love with picture #1!
I'm forever comitted to blue and white. There is something just so crisp and clean about it.
