How do I say this -- 4 grandsons, 1 son, 1 son-in-law, 1 hubby who misses a lot. No, I don't use any extra material around the commode that could get soiled. I do use rugs on the floor and weekly wash a contour rug. Guest bathroom is my favorite. Bronze with varied shades of neutrals. Metal beach scene behind commode, framed lighthouse / boat scene above towell rack - that I purchased at Hendersonville, NC art show (mom's home town) and above the scales - poem about awesome women. That poem helps me when I stand on the scales. Mbath has a photo we took and enlarged on canvas of magnificent sunset at Seaside Beach, FL. Makes me smile. Our Mbath is pretty, but utilitarian. Basement bath has neutral-colored tiled in walk-in shower and turquoise accessories; southwestern. No wall art.

Never have used those.

I do have a larger reversible cotton rug in front of vanity with smaller matching one in front of toilet not a contour rug.

I don't need any rugs in the bathrooms but DH complains about the cold tile floors in the winter.

I keep my bathroom as minimalist as possible just because it's easier to clean and I don't like the thought of things "collecting" on stuff. Just a rug by the shower, soap dispenser and hand lotion. Toothbrushes, makeup, appliances go under the sink cabinets unless I'm using it. I do have a few pictures by the sink on either side of the duall sinks but it's away from the toilet area.

My Mom ALWAYS used a tank cover and a seat cover.  The tank covers never fit very well.  I have a lid cover on only one of our for toliets, and the blue color of the cover has rubbed off onto the seat, and I can not seem to get it off!

My mom used those matching seat covers and rugs  around the toilet. I used them a couple years in my first apartment, but I decided I didn’t need or want them. All I have is a bath mat on the floor for when we get out of the tub.

Our full bath has a large metal wall hanging on the wide wall and a smaller one on the narrow wall. Easy to wipe off and clean. I have a printed shower curtain with solid towels that coordinate. I have 2 glass jars with lids for cotton swabs & cotton balls on the counter and a metal container that holds a square box of tissues. I do not like lots of decorative stuff on my bath counters.

I do have a bathroom rug which is by my vanity.  I also have various fish and mermaid decor on my walls, they are in the retro category.

I have never used a tank cover and ditched the seat cover years ago. I don't even know why I had one. I have a clock on the wall in my master and a picture in each bathroom. That sounds mundane and I guess it is. Lol.

My cousin is a fearless decorator and made their tiny powder room a stunning interior with muted walls, narrow tall mirrors and beautiful international masks...an Italian opera house vibe. It may sound weird but it was so unexpected and well done it was elegant.
