I used to always buy candles at Bath & Body Works on candle day (I remember paying $7 and $8!).  But they've now closed the store near me and I liked being able to actually sniff the scents in the store. And I don't always buy enough online to get free shipping.  

I started buying the Slatkin candles and like them better.  I feel they burn cleaner and have better throw and scent.  I just picked up a few 18oz 4 wick candles on sale at $15 with free shipping.

I wish I was familiar with the BBW scents. The store close to me closed years ago and I can't get over to another location to sniff around. When I subsequently ordered online I wasn't overly thrilled with my selections and my interest faded in spite of the pricing.

Ordered from Slatkin with satisfaction then noticed some scents seemed so weak compared to earlier experiences. So I like to rely on recs from others on these forums.

1. Then came Cheerful Giver which has been 100% for me. Yes, there's scents I've liked better than others upon receiving but that's personal.  The quality fortunately, has been steadfast.

I did receive the CG Chai Latte today and am quite pleased. The candle is still really cold due to the weather but geez what a lovely scent so far. I'm sure at room temp it'll really bloom. I do recommend this warm cozy scent if you like Chai. Its quite authentic. I'm thinking of picking up another from Amazon, where many CG scents are Black Friday sale priced. 

I am looking at those $12.50 Slatkin candles posted on your other thread.

@Calibeach I'm not sure I have ever purchased Bath & body Works candles. However, they sure look like a great buy in a great choice of scents😃.

@rochelleS - too bad your BBW store closed. There are 2 near me and I enjoy going there on occasion to look at the new offers in person and to smell the fragrances. The staff is always so friendly and helpful. And I go there when I have my bonus points for a free item.

@BExplorer - do you have a BBW store near you? If yes, go before Wednesday to sniff the scents. They won't have the 'new' or 'back from the Vault' but there are a number of scents that are available now that will be part of Candle Day. You can ask a sales person to help you. 

Also, I recommend that you sign up online to set up your ability to shop during the Candle Day Early Access which should begin on Wednesday Dec 3. They will send an email link when Early Access is live for you to sign in and shop early.

all i burn are bath n body works.. i have been getting their candles for a longtime.. i remember them being 22.00 or less.. i only stock up during big sales and candle day. right now i have about 50. just bought 7 during the buy 3 get 4.. hope they do that next year.. i got tons of room sprays and soaps.. and i know i will be getting more candles on candle day.... i only buy them 2 or 3 times a year... i will never pay full price for them unless its a buy some get some for free.. they are so over priced its crazy... but are real good candles. i have tried 2 other brands, and i think these are the best

no i never make a list lol  i just go to the site and start loading my cart.. i love peach bellini, champagne toast, frosted crnaberry, also love the chocolate candles, and the coffee, oh and the blueberry candles smell awesome! im burning 2 right now one in my hallway, and one in my kitchen.. and they are strong enough that i smell them in my bedroom and bathroom.. they may go up in price, just like everything else. just hope shipping is free. thats where they get you.. the box is heavy and they charge alot..

@bonnie f  thank you for sharing your favorite fragrances. I know the peach bellini is a fave based on online reviews as is the back from the vault blueberry. After missing out on some fragrances a couple years ago due to quick sellouts, I now make a priority list and have it ready to go for Early Access. I typically place just one order to meet the free shipping minimum. The shipment is packaged well, they do a good job
