I just got a email from Bed Bath and Beyond on a new membership program. If you shop there a lot this is a deal. It costs $29 for the year. You get 20% of your entire purchase and free shipping for a year. Their coupons are usually 20% off one item so having it off the entire purchase with free shipping is a great deal if you shop there a lot.

I have not been in that store in over a year maybe two.  The $29 a year is good if you really shop quite often in the store.  This is a store you have to really know your prices because I found that they had higher prices than Target or Walmart for comparable merchandise.

That program is not new.  It first went nationwide last year around this time.  Plus it is still a "beta" program="testing stage."

I passed it by when I was invited to join last year.  You need to use a cc to sign up for this program.

So I called BBB this afternoon to see if I could join at my local store and/or pay the joining fee ($29) by check or money order.

YOu cannot pay for this program ($29) at your local BBB nor by check or money order.   It's cc or Pay Pal.  So that leaves me out as I do not pay for anything online w/a cc plus I do not have a Pay Pal account nor do I want one.

It is a good deal though.  But, one I will have to pass "again" & keep on piling up my coupons which I keep in my car glove compartment.

I joined a few months ago. The advertising is deceiving. You have a choice of EITHER 20% off or free shipping.............not both at the same time unless you qualify for the free shipping that is available to everyone.

i always have a stack of coupons that give me 20% off and i only buy in their stores. the $29 a year would really not benefit me at all.

I wouldn't buy anything at their store without a coupon.

I find most of the items they sell cheaper elsewhere...especially Amazon.

Nope this program is not new. I would never pay a fee for free shipping or a 20% off coupon. It should be free every day just like their competitors.

I went recently to look for a shower curtain that the website said was available at that store.  I hadn't been in in years.

I really don't find the place useful for me.  I can find it other places much cheaper.

I came across that offer when I was looking for a Breville Toaster Oven a while ago.  When I read the  policies carefully there were many brands that were excluded.  Breville was one of them.

I heard on the news tonight that the BBB in our area will be closed.

It is such bad news, because I enjoyed shopping there and I hate to see the employees lose their jobs.
