Mallemo, congrats on snagging one of the limited quantity wreaths. I was able to order one too. Hope yours turns out like you hope it will.

Susan Louise, forgive me if I should have seen this bit of info-but I read through all of the posts, and am a little shakey on the size of owl that looks best with this wreath. I was able to order one-it has not shipped. What size owl, in your opinion, is best with this wreath, and does it matter which direction his head is fed? ( over right shoulder or left shoulder? I am going to be looking for an owl-I love how you styled yours. Very, very nice! Thankyou!

@rosehill The 5-5.5" is the size I have in our wreath. A 7" owl will work fine, but as I mentioned in a previous post, you will just have to find the 'sweet spot'. What I mean by that is, fluff up the wreath to how you want it...don't know if you are using one that you have already and it just needs dusting off, or a new wreath....so you will need to measure the inside area on the wreath you will be using. I can of coarse only give specifics on the wreath I am using currently. Remember also , all this info of coarse can be appiled to Christmas/hiliday wreaths with the snowy owl...orany owl Smiley Happy

BEFORE you hang the wreath, IF you want to use a 7" owl, you will have to test it in different areas on your wreath due to the various 'things' on the wreath that might get in the way...like a big pine cone, pumpkin, gourd, etc....this way you won't have to remove anything from the wreath to have the owl look good to your liking and it's not at an angle...then hang the wreath up according to the owl being upright...does that make sese? Sometimes writing info is harder than just showing/demonstrating.

Since I don't know what wreath you are using, you may be able to fit the 7" without an issue anywhere on the wreath when it is already hanging up. With the wreath mallemo & I have...the size of the wreath and all the pumpkins, gourds, etc on it, I did have to try various spots on the wreath to show that a 7" owl can fit on the inside (refer to pic I posted on this thread). Also compare the 7" snowy owl to the 5-5.5" owl I use in the pic below. Personally, I would use either size...no bigger (in THIS wreath). Why didn't I use a 7"? Because I have no 7" brown or gray owls...only a 7" snowy owl I just used to show mallemo how a 7" owl would liik in THIS wreath...

I do have 9" or taller dark feathered owls, but they would be too big and various sized snowy owls, however I wouldn't use in a Fall wreath...

@mallemo & @rosehill Oh well, now I should retype my post to Rosehill. I didn't read what she wrote to you, just what she wrote to me...sigh.

Too tired to...lol. At least I gave helpful info for both of you...

Thank you, Susan. I  will have to find and unpack the holiday tote with my owls. I have no idea if I have a 5.5" one.  Thanks again for all of your help in this thead.
