How do you clean them?  Used to have just little throw rugs & would toss in washer, but have bigger one now. Actually it's the Casa Zeta-Jones one from the Q & I really like it but would like to know best way to clean. TIA

It's worth it to invest in one of those little Bissel rug cleaners to clean rugs. I have wool rugs all over my house and could not get along with out it.

Will look into that. Hopefully it's not too expensive.

I take my area rugs and runners out on the concrete driveway on a extremely hot day (80s+) and use the carpet cleaner.

I keep moving the the wet carpets to hot dry parts of the long hot driveway until dry.

it's an all day project.

What kind of carpet cleaner do you use?

My trick, use an inexpensive upright carpet cleaner (mine was $149). Roll it out on a clean garage floor on a warm day. If the humidity is high, I wait for better weather because I want it to dry in one day. It's just a once a year thing because we don't have pets and I vacuum often.

@KKJ  My wool rugs are cleaned by the same carpet cleaning company that cleans the carpeting in my home. The do a great job. Sometimes they pick them up; other times I simply drop rugs off.

Money screams; wealth whispers.

@KKJ, I do what @Mary Bailey does.  I have a Hoover steam vac.  Love it. Twelve years old and going strong!  LM
