I always think we should fall back the week BEFORE Halloween so that the kids can trick or treat and hour earler!!!

I, for one, hate daylight until 9:30pm and look forward to Standard time!!

i am a standard time lover also....... wish it could be all year long.

Move to Arizona. We do not go on daylight savings.

I love that it doesn’t get dark until 930 or 10 in the summer. Makes you feel so much better. Being August now it’s dark about 9. Being in Indiana we should probably be on central time instead of eastern but I love being on eastern. So many more hours of daylight in the summer to have fun or get things done. I am not looking forward to it being dark at 5 pm.

Sunset is our part of the world, the southeast US is more like 8:00 pm.  We aren't back to 7:30 yet.  You could have Googled daylight saving time date and got it.

FYI

Florida has the Sunshine Protection Act that went into effect in July 2018.  It is on hold until they sort the fact they will be one hour ahead of the rest of the east coast.

November 4th. The day I’ll go into hibernation for the winter and complain on a daily basis until spring comes again. I hate winter with a passion. I freeze the entire winter. I hate the short, dark gloomy days.

Why is it, when I have a 50/50 guess at something, I'm always 100% wrong?

The problem with keeping DST year round (here in CT), is that the mornings are dark.  This means you have kids standing at bus stops in the morning in the dark and arriving at school in the dark.

When I was in junior high the state experimented with year-round DST.  It didn't get light until after 8 am.  School STARTED at 7:30, so the bus stop thing was a big deal safety-wise.
